Teitur Trophics Completes Phase I Clinical Trial of TT-P34 for Parkinson's Disease
Teitur Trophics is pleased to announce the completion of our Phase I clinical trial of TT‑P34, conducted at the Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR) in Leiden. The last patient completed their final visit.
Our latest cohort of 12 patients with early-stage Parkinson’s disease received four weeks of treatment, followed by a four-week safety follow-up period, including three lumbar punctures to collect cerebrospinal fluid at various time points during the study. This study provides important insights into the safety and tolerability, as well as the PK/PD profile, of TT P34. Now that Phase I has been completed, we look forward to analysing the full dataset and preparing for the next phase of TT P34’s development. We are particularly proud of the outstanding performance of the CHDR team, which completed the recruitment of 12 participants in less than three months.
This success reflects the dedication of our participants and clinical teams and reinforces our confidence in TT-P34 as an innovative therapy that, through a dual mechanism of action, improves both mitochondrial and lysosomal function and thereby has a positive impact on the progression of Parkinson’s disease.
Data from the entire Phase I trial will be available for presentation during BIO International from 21st to 25th June in San Diego.
