Dr. Ronald Postuma is an internationally renowned clinician-scientist specializing in Parkinson’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. As Director of the Division of Neurology at McGill University and the Montreal Neurological Institute, his research has significantly advanced global understanding of prodromal Parkinson’s, sleep-related biomarkers, and disease progression. Dr. Postuma has led pivotal studies on REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) as a predictor of neurodegeneration and has authored key clinical criteria for early diagnosis. With extensive experience in translational research and clinical trial design, he also advises pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies developing disease-modifying therapies for Parkinson’s disease. His work bridges academic excellence with industry innovation, accelerating the translation of discoveries into patient impact.

Charlotte Teunissen
Scientific Advisor
Prof. Dr. Charlotte Teunissen is a globally recognized expert in neurodegenerative disease biomarkers, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. As Head of the Neurochemistry Laboratory at Amsterdam UMC, she leads pioneering research on fluid biomarkers for early diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of therapeutic responses. Her work covers the full spectrum of biomarker development, from discovery to clinical validation and implementation. Prof. Teunissen oversees one of the world’s largest dementia biobanks and chairs multiple international consortia. She also receives and advises on grants from the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Her contributions have been instrumental in advancing ultrasensitive proteomic technologies and in vitro diagnostics that support precision medicine in neurodegeneration.
